Injun Summer – John T. McCutcheon

John Tinney McCutcheon (1870 – 1949) was an American cartoonist who influenced an entire school of cartoonists – “The Midwestern School” as it came to be known. Based in Chicago, McCutcheon was a noted political cartoonist; and his “Bird Center” and “Boy in Springtime” homely themes of social cartoons inspired Clare Briggs, Frank King, Gaar Williams, Fontaine Fox, and many other cartoonists.
